EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT EXTENDED SIZE BRAS

At ANGABRIEL, we’re always looking for ways to improve and innovate. Recently, we’ve been working hard to further extend our size range to be more inclusive, and we now offer 90 different sizes across our brands. When it comes to designing plus-size bras, there are very specific design and construction differences. These differences ensure that your curves are supported with the utmost comfort all day, every day. Read on to learn more about how to find your perfect plus size bra at ANGABRIEL Lingerie.

What is a plus size bra

Plus-size bras are tailored to fit women with bigger band sizes rather than cup sizes. These bras feature a wider bra band, additional hook and eye closures, wider (sometimes even padded) bra straps and occasionally additional boning on the sides. The above features work together for maximum support and comfort to complement your beautiful curvy figure.

Sometimes it can feel like an absolute chore to shop for bras as a plus-size woman and, more often than not, end up walking out of a store empty-handed and right back at square one. Bra straps and bands are generally too thin and can cause spillage in all the wrong places, amounting to an overall lack of support and comfort. We can then find ourselves in an overly padded bra that has just increased our bust by a good few sizes, sometimes giving the appearance of being bigger than we actually are.

Who should wear a plus size bra

Plus-sized bras usually start from a D cup and band size of 38+. So, if this is you and you’ve been struggling to find the perfect bra, you’re not alone. Plus-sized bras are constructed to provide security and support for women with a fuller bust. Because this is the priority, sometimes women struggle to find plus-sized bras that are also cute and fashionable, with the right amount of padding, support and comfort. We understand that it can be frustrating shopping for plus size bras; that’s why we’re trying hard to improve in this space.
